Nat bumped into Mox while she and her best friend were walking
along Ortigas late one night. At first, she thought he was a snatcher, but she later learned that he was her best friend’s college barkada. After a few unsuccessful attempts
of conversations, they parted ways awkwardly. Later that night, Nat learned that
Mox wished she was the one whom he was courting instead of her officemate, who was being linked to Mox. He thought it
was love at first sight; she thought it was just typical pambobola.
SEPTEMBER 2010
They would see each other during common friends’ gimiks, but they
never really talked to each other. In fact, Mox kept on ignoring her and giving monosyllabic answers whenever Nat asked a question,
which she thought was pretty insulting. Since then, she decided never to
go out with her friends if he’s coming along with them.
OCTOBER 21, 2010
Nat was supposed to watch a movie with her best friend, but to her
surprise, Mox tagged along. She thought she would have to endure the
awkward silence with him once again, but Mox turned out to be funny,
down-to-earth and quite easy to talk to. She found herself laughing and
having a good time with him. After the movie, Mox then asked for her
number and texted her "Good night".
OCTOBER 23, 2010
Two days later, Nat attended a birthday party at Mox’s condo.
Everyone was tipsy and basically having a good time. Mox accompanied Nat
to fetch her friend, who was also going to the party. As they were
going down the stairs, Mox suddenly grabbed her hand and asked, “Tayo
na?” And without hesitation, Nat answered yes, thinking that it would be just a fling. Mox then sent a relationship request to her in Facebook, marking their official start as a couple.
And the rest, as they say, is history. What was supposed to be a pseudo-fling turned out to be the real thing. :)
